Maid Cafe Simulator Demo Save Transfer

Move an official Maid Cafe Simulator Demo save into the Full Release safely, verify the imported slot, and diagnose launch-window progression trouble without deleting the original.

Maid Cafe Simulator officially supports continuing from the Demo in the Full Release. The safe identifying step is inside the base game’s save screen: choose the slot marked [Demo]. The two products have different Steam AppIDs—4416560 for the Demo and 3232690 for the Full Release—so first make sure Steam has launched the purchased base game rather than the Demo shortcut.

Preserve the source save before importing

Close both applications normally and let any active Steam Cloud synchronization finish. Keep the Demo installed until the Full Release has recognized and loaded the slot. If the game offers more than one in-game slot, avoid overwriting the Demo-marked entry during the first verification session.

When Steam presents a Cloud conflict, stop and compare the device, timestamp, and direction of the copies. Do not choose only by file size, and do not browse into a save directory to rename unknown files. Steam Cloud is an officially listed feature, but it does not prove that the newest-looking local file is the correct café.

Load the marked slot in the Full Release

Install and update the base game, launch it from its own Steam library page, and enter the save-selection screen. Select the entry carrying [Demo]. That label is more dependable than remembering a slot number, because slot order can differ between installations or after synchronization.

Once loaded, do not immediately make irreversible purchases or replace every save. Walk through the café and compare the active quest, Cafe level, maid roster, room arrangement, available money, and recent unlocks with your memory of the Demo. If the state belongs to a different playthrough, return to the title screen without saving over it.

Confirm that progress actually continues

A successful load is only the first check. Complete the visible objective if possible, close a service normally, read new messages, and allow the next expected time transition. The official launch material says the Demo covers the first four chapters and Cafe Level 10; continuing beyond the Demo boundary should eventually expose Full Release story and systems rather than leaving the objective permanently unchanged.

During the launch window, a community discussion reported a transferred save stuck on “wait until evening.” That is a useful warning, not proof that every imported save fails. Preserve the affected slot and test only ordinary, reversible actions before drawing a conclusion.

Troubleshoot a missing Demo slot

First confirm the product identity in Steam. Then close the game, wait for synchronization to settle, and reopen the base game once. If you use more than one computer, check which machine last ran the Demo and whether its Cloud upload completed. Do not repeatedly alternate machines while Cloud is unresolved; that makes timestamps harder to interpret.

If the Demo slot remains absent, launch the Demo itself only to confirm that the expected playthrough is still visible there. Exit without replacing it, allow synchronization to complete, and try the Full Release again. A Demo save created by an older Demo build may have its own compatibility history, so record when it was last played instead of assuming every historical file has the same format.

Diagnose “wait until evening” safely

Save in a separate slot if the interface allows it. Finish any active customer interaction, check the exact objective text, visit the area the objective names, read unread messages, and end the day through the normal route. Avoid changing several café systems at once; a clean sequence makes it easier to tell whether a transition fired.

If the same text survives several normal transitions, make one fresh Full Release save only as a comparison. You do not need to abandon the imported café. The comparison answers a narrow question: does the opening story advance on the same installed build? If the fresh game advances but the transferred slot does not, preserve both and prepare a precise report.

Slot is visible

Verify its objective and café state before making a new save over any entry.

Slot is missing

Check AppID, Demo visibility, Cloud completion, and the machine that last held the save.

Story is stuck

Use normal time transitions and a separate comparison save; never delete the original during diagnosis.

Cloud conflicts

Compare timestamps and devices before choosing a copy, then keep one known-good source untouched.

Prepare a useful bug report

Record the operating system, base-game AppID, whether the slot displays [Demo], the exact quest wording, the last completed task, current in-game day, and whether the next evening transition occurred. Include the date and current public-branch status. Describe only actions you actually took, and distinguish a repeated failure from a single delayed transition.

Do not upload a personal save publicly unless the developer specifically asks for it through a trusted support channel. A screenshot of the objective and slot label may be enough to establish the state. Check the Main Quest Not Progressing guide for additional reversible checks, and use the Full Game vs Demo guide to separate Demo limits from transfer faults.

The official transfer statement and any later fixes should be checked in the Maid Cafe Simulator Steam News hub. Product identity can be confirmed on the Full Release store page and Demo store page.
