Maid Cafe Simulator Full Game vs Demo

Compare Maid Cafe Simulator AppID 3232690 with Demo AppID 4416560, including story scope, maids, levels, stages, saves, platforms, and safe upgrade steps.

The Maid Cafe Simulator Demo and Full Release are separate Steam applications. The Full Release is AppID 3232690; the Demo is AppID 4416560. Accelix’s October 8 announcement says the Demo covers the first four story chapters and Cafe Level 10, while the Full Release continues the story, adds three maids, and opens later management and performance systems. Choose the Full Release library entry when you expect content beyond that boundary.

Demo 4416560

Best for: learning the opening service loop before buying.

Published launch scope: first four chapters and Cafe Level 10.

Staff introduced early: Omu and Mina.

Full game 3232690

Best for: completing the story and developing the full café.

Published scope: 13 main chapters, five maids, later inspections, festivals, and stages.

Release state: Full Release on the public Steam branch.

What carries over and how to load it

The official launch post says the Demo save carries into the Full Release. Start the installed base game, open its save screen, and select the slot marked [Demo]. That explicit label is the useful identity check: it shows that the Full Release recognized a save created by the separate Demo application.

Before loading, keep the Demo installed or preserve its save through the game’s normal save system. Do not rename random files or overwrite several slots to force recognition. If Steam Cloud presents a conflict, compare timestamps and machine names before choosing a copy. Cloud synchronization is a transport feature, not a substitute for knowing which save contains your latest café.

After loading, check the active story objective, Café level, staff roster, room layout, money, and key equipment. Advance to the next normal time boundary and confirm that the story reacts. A community report during the launch window described a transferred save stuck on “wait until evening,” so the first successful evening transition is more meaningful than merely reaching the café floor.

Story, staff, and relationship differences

The Demo is an opening slice. The developer’s release announcement says it spans the first four chapters, then the Full Release continues the main story through its ending. The full store page lists 13 main story chapters. Do not read “13” as a chapter selector available immediately; it is the total published story scope, with progress still tied to objectives and café development.

Omu and Mina form the early staff shown in the Demo. The Full Release adds Yuki, Jennie, and Momo as the story brings them into the café, producing the official five-maid roster. If one of those later characters is absent in a Demo save, first confirm that the base game is running and the main quest has advanced beyond the Demo story window.

The Full Release also extends character content. Official materials list 36 bond stories and 25 text messages per maid, and the launch post describes 100 late-night text stories arriving from maids who are out. Those totals describe the complete game. They do not establish exact bond thresholds, gift values, or a guaranteed message every night.

Management systems beyond the Demo boundary

Accelix states that Full Release Cafe levels reach 40 and Maid levels reach 15. The launch post also names a wider hall and kitchen, a brewer, pro cooking stations, and a second register as growth examples. The Demo’s older facility or level limits should never be used to diagnose a Full Release unlock without checking the product and current objective.

Maidchelin inspections and 13 festivals belong to the expanded game. Inspections are progression events, not ordinary customers who can be summoned from a menu at any time. Festivals change who arrives and what they want to order. Before a festival or inspection, make sure the menu has supported ingredients and the service route can handle a different demand pattern.

The Full Release also includes Dance Stage and Performance Stage content. The developer says the Dance Stage can run during service, while every fifth night is filming night for the Performance Stage. On filming night, the player chooses a maid, outfit, song, and difficulty, then tries to capture target shots. This later feature should not be reported missing inside the Demo.

Recipes, achievements, and outfits

The Full Release store page lists 49 drink recipes across three types of drink-making station. It does not provide a complete official ingredient table, and Demo-era recipe behavior may have changed during the announced management rebuild. Use the current recipe interface and station registration in AppID 3232690 when verifying a drink.

Steam lists 20 regular achievements and three hidden achievements for the Full Release. Demo play can teach the management actions behind some goals, but the Demo does not represent the complete achievement path. Hidden descriptions and exact triggers should be verified against the current base-game achievement interface rather than inferred from similarly named café games.

The base store description names 18 outfits plus additional DLC outfits. Steam separately lists 20 DLC applications, grouped by maid in their product names. DLC is optional cosmetic content attached to the base game; it does not unlock the missing Full Release story for a Demo user. Buy the base game first when the goal is later chapters or management systems.

Platform requirements are not identical

The current base-game listing requires Windows 11 for the published Windows minimum. For macOS, it requires macOS 12 or newer and an Apple processor, with Apple M1 as the listed minimum. The Demo page may still show older Windows 10 and Intel-compatible macOS text. Use the requirements on the product you intend to run, not the most convenient number from the other listing.

Neither product’s existence proves native Linux support. The base-game API reports Linux false, and Steam Deck compatibility is shown as Unknown. Controller support is also not declared in current base-game metadata. If the Demo accepts a particular input or compatibility layer, treat that as a test of the Demo build, not a guarantee for the Full Release.

Troubleshoot a missing difference

First open Steam Properties or the store link and confirm the numeric AppID. Next check that the base game finished updating and that Steam launched it rather than the Demo shortcut. Then inspect the active objective; many systems arrive through story or café growth rather than appearing on the title screen.

For a transferred save, preserve the slot before testing. Close a shift normally, review messages, move between the café and relevant exterior or lounge areas, and allow the expected time transition. If “wait until evening” remains for several in-game days, compare with a fresh base-game save only to identify whether the issue follows the transferred slot. Do not delete the original while the cause is uncertain.

If the problem persists, record AppID, operating system, whether the slot has the [Demo] tag, the exact quest text, the last completed task, and the in-game day. That evidence is useful in the official bug-report channel and avoids a vague “story broken” report.

Which version should you choose?

Choose the Demo when you want to test the first-person service loop, presentation, and early staff without buying. Choose the Full Release when you want the complete story arc, five-maid roster, later café levels, inspections, festivals, performance systems, and full achievement set. A Demo save can reduce repetition, but a fresh Full Release start is reasonable if the opening hours matter to you or a transferred launch-window save behaves unexpectedly.

Return to the Guides hub for the first-session plan, or use Progression if an imported story objective will not move. For current transfer instructions and product limits, compare the latest official Steam News post with the Full Release store page and the Demo store page before loading the only copy of a save.
