“Favorite foods” in Maid Cafe Simulator is best approached as a drink-reaction discovery task. The café’s playable recipe system contains drinks, and current community guidance reports that handing a maid a preferred beverage produces a noticeably warmer response. There is not yet a dependable public table for all five exact matches, so use each maid’s current dialogue and any in-game preference record as the deciding evidence.
Begin with one maid and a clean save
Choose Omu, Mina, Yuki, Jennie, or Momo when she is available for a normal interaction. Finish urgent service tasks first so a queue, story event, or duty change does not interrupt the test. Save before preparing several drinks if supplies are limited.
Open your discovered recipes and select a small set you can reproduce. Do not test an undiscovered formula and a preference at the same time: if the drink is wrong, you will not know whether the problem came from preparation or taste.
Hand over one confirmed drink
Prepare the drink completely and verify its output name before the interaction. Approach the intended maid at a time when the normal handover action is available. Give one item, then let the entire response finish before opening another menu or starting a second interaction.
Read the words as well as the tone. A neutral acknowledgement, a polite positive response, and a distinctive appreciative reaction should be recorded separately. If the game updates a preference entry or achievement progress, that is stronger confirmation than interpretation alone.
Compare reactions without wasting the day
Change only the drink between comparable attempts. Keep the maid, story state, and interaction context stable where possible. Test a small family of recipes, then stop before stock or daily interaction limits make the results ambiguous.
Do not reload repeatedly merely to force a favorable line if the game clearly recorded the handover. Continue normal play and return on another suitable day. Relationship systems can be connected to story progression, so an unavailable response may mean the interaction is not currently open rather than that the drink is wrong.
Distinct reaction
Record the exact drink and check for a visible preference or achievement update.
Neutral reaction
Mark the drink as tested for this maid, not as universally disliked.
No handover prompt
Finish the current duty or story event and retry during a normal interaction window.
Guide table disagrees
Trust the current base-game response and keep the conflicting pair unconfirmed.
Separate café drinks from story references
Dialogue and achievement wording may use “food” broadly, but the active café recipe system is centered on the 49 drinks confirmed for the Full Release. Do not search for an unsupported cooking menu or invent solid-food recipes to satisfy the phrase.
If a story scene names a snack or meal, treat it as narrative context unless the current interaction interface lets you prepare and hand over that exact item. The practical preference test uses items the game recognizes through its drink system.
Track all five without publishing guesses
Maintain five separate rows, one for each maid. A row is complete only when the current game visibly distinguishes the preference or records it. Leave Jennie, Momo, or any other uncertain match blank until their reaction is reproduced; a complete-looking table with guessed entries is less useful than an honest partial log.
The achievement list includes relationship-oriented goals, but an achievement title alone does not reveal the preferred recipe or a numerical bond gain. Use it as a progress signal after the game updates, not as a formula for what to serve.
Recover from an unclear result
Confirm that the drink was made in base-game AppID 3232690 and that its output name matches your note. Repeat once after a normal save and reload if the reaction failed to display. Check whether a story conversation, duty, or location change is blocking the ordinary interaction.
If uncertainty remains, move on to another known recipe rather than consuming the whole stock. The Bond Stories guide explains the broader relationship structure, while Recipes helps verify the item itself.
The working interaction model is described by the independent maid drink preferences guide. Use it to choose tests, not as a substitute for the reaction shown by your installed Full Release. The official Steam page confirms the five-maid roster and 49-drink scope.
